Sivaji: The Boss


Sivaji: The Boss (Tamil: சிவாஜி) is a forthcoming Tamil language film, directed by noted director, S. Shankar. It stars Rajinikanth, Shriya Saran, Vivek and Suman in the lead roles with Manivannan, Raghuvaran in pivotal roles. The movie is set to be dubbed into the Telugu language and will be released simultaneously with the same title. The film's score and soundtrack was written by acclaimed composer, A. R. Rahman, with lyrics from four lyricists. The film, prior to release, has given rise to great expectations due to the number of high-profile artists involved within its creation. At the present status of progress, the post-production stages were completed towards the end of March and an official trailer was released late in May 2007. The date set for release worldwide in approximately 2,900 theatres,[5] after several postponements, has released on June 15, 2007.[1] [2][3]
The film, prior to release, has re-written several Indian records at the box-office starting with the most costly production to date with 60 crores, overtaking, the 2002 Bollywood film, Devdas which cost the producer 50 Indian crores. With Sivaji, the lead actor, Rajinikanth becomes the highest paid actor in India receiving 20 Indian crores for his portrayal of the title character.[6].
